PDP BoT threatens “impersonators” as party moves past court battles

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees (BoT) has issued a stern legal warning to rival claimants within the party’s advisory organ, declaring that any individual parading as the BoT Chairman will soon be prosecuted as a criminal impersonator.
The warning was delivered on Tuesday in an official press statement by BoT Chairman, Senator Mao Ohuabunwa, who declared that the main opposition party has finally put an end to its ruinous cycle of court litigation.
Senator Ohuabunwa pointed to last Friday’s Federal High Court judgment as the definitive turning point in the party’s internal crisis.
He noted that the ruling aligns directly with earlier Supreme Court precedent, effectively closing the door on rival leadership claims.
“The BoT fully respects and accepts the Federal High Court judgment and will continue to respect the rule of law.
“Any other person parading himself as the Chairman of the PDP BoT is a criminal impersonator that will be made to face the full wrath of the law soon,” Ohuabunwa stated.
Calling on aggrieved factions to accept the legal reality and beat a retreat, Ohuabunwa emphasized that the BoT acting as the moral compass of the PDP will strictly enforce compliance with valid judicial decisions.
With key court challenges cleared, the BoT leadership confirmed that the party’s immediate priority is internal reconciliation and administrative restructuring to prepare for the 2027 general elections.
Ohuabunwa urged party elders, grassroots supporters, and state executives to unite behind a single agenda to restore the PDP’s competitive edge on the national stage.
