From Uche Nnorom, Makurdi
A former Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) aspirant in 2015 governorship election
in Benue State, Tivlumun Nyitse has cautioned the party to avoid impunity and elect a national chairman that would be acceptable to the party.
Nyitse who gave this advice while speaking with newsmen at the weekend in Makurdi, lauded the leadership of Ahmed Makarfi for carrying all members along, noting that someone who possesses an all inclusive leadership quality is required to reposition the party towards reclaiming power in 2019.
While advocating spirit of sportsmanship in the forthcoming convention, Nyitse, an erudite Journalist turned politician charged those who may not be elected during the convention to be able to accept defeat at the end of the day for the growth and development of the party.
He said PDP lost power to the then opposition Party, APC because the party failed to do the right thing but now that the party has realized those grey areas leading to the failure of the party in the last election, the party is set to put things aright.’
