The Arewa Youth Union (AYU) has called on president Muhammadu Buhari to heed the call by many Nigerians to come out and contest for a second term as the President of Nigeria.
The Union stated this in a press statement made available to the media in Kaduna yesterday.
The statement signed by the union’s President, Abdul Hadi Ibrahim Kankia, added that the President deserves a second term looking at his achievementsin the last two years which he needed time to complete and move the country to greater heights.
The statement added that the present administration under President Muhammadu Buhari had done a lot for the nation that he needed to carry on for another four years in areas such as discipline, fight against corruption and earning respect for the country among the comity of nations, among many other achievements.
“Federal Government during the period has promoted many federal civil servants who have been stagnant for many years from year 2014, 2015 and 2016 with a promise to create additional 15 million jobs through the Economic Recovery and Growth Plan before the year 2020 with a plan built on strategic engagement, especially with private sector”, the statement said.
