The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Tuesday said the Vice-chairman of the Area Council, Alhaji Mohammed Kasim Ikwa is not the candidate of the party in respect of the dispute rocking the party in the area.
Some of the party members who made this known while speaking during a meeting at the party secretariat in Gwagwalada, pointing out that the Vice-chairman is not a member of PDP from onset.
They said that the present Chairman of the Area Council, Hon. Adamu Mustapha Danze and his Vice were elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
They explained that the Honorable Rabiu Saba who was duely elected as the Chairmanship candidate of PDP did not collect #50 million as a bribe from anybody as was alleged by the Vice-chairman supporters.
Addressing the party members/supporters during the meeting, the flag bearer of PDP, Hon. Rabiu Saba, said he had already filed a case against the acclaimed PDP candidate in the court.
Saba, however, advised party members/supporters to remain calm pending the outcome of the case in the court of law.
