Governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, have thumbed up their colleague in Bayelsa State, Senator Duoye Diri for enthroning an atmosphere of peace and tranquillity in the State, stressing that the peace dividend is manifest.
The PDP Governors similarly attested to Senator Diri’s administration’s performances in the areas of expansive road infrastructure and Urban renewal, civil service upgrade and improved workers’ welfare, intensive Sports development and Youth among others.
The PDP Governors’ Forum said these on Wednesday shortly after Governor Diri was was sworn-in/inaugurated for a second term in office.
They expressed confidence on the capacity of the Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Duoye Diri to deliver more dividends of democracy to the people of his State in his second term in office.
The Forum, in a statement by its Director-General, Hon CID Maduabum in Abuja, pointed out that the feat achieved by Governor Diri during the governorship election in his State was the Bayelsa people’s testimonial of his administration’s good governance in the past four years in various sectors and a request for continuity of more impactful developments in the State to further improve their lives.
The PDP Governors assured that they will provide Diri with unalloyed support and brotherly advice always.
The statement by Maduabum reads, “The Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum (PDP-GF) under the chairmanship of the Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, on behalf of member Governors, congratulates the Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri, on his second term inauguration and swearing into office.
“This feat is the Bayelsa people’s testimonial of his Prosperity Administration’s good governance in the past four years in various sectors and a request for continuity of more impactful developments in the State to further improve their lives.
“He has enthroned an atmosphere of peace and tranquillity in Bayelsa State, and the peace dividend is manifest.
“The Forum attests to his administration’s performances in the areas of expansive Road infrastructure and Urban renewal, Civil service upgrade and improved workers’ welfare, intensive Sports development and Youth empowerment, Transportation service upgrade, renewed Security infrastructure/provision, SME funding and Women upliftment, Health infrastructure and service delivery upgrade, Aviation sector consolidation, Agriculture and agrobased initiatives, Housing, Job employment, and others.
“The Forum is confident of his capacity to deliver in the second term and wishes him success at every step he takes.
“We join the Bayelsa families, friends, and people in prayer for divine guidance and protection, good health, wisdom, and humility in service to lift the people through these difficult economic times.
