The Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) has yet again lost some of its key members as two prominent members of tin Kwara State dumped the party for African Democratic Congress, (ADC).
They are the former Governor of the state, Abdulfatah Ahmed and Bolaji Abdullahi, also a former Commissioner of Education in the state, under former Governor Bukola Saraki’s administration.
Reacting to the development, the state chairman of the PDP, Babatunde Mohammed said the party was still compiling the list of defectors to the ADC across the 16 local government areas of the state.
He said the list of defectors in three local government areas of the state had already been compiled, though the number was not disclosed.
Peoples Daily reports that Bolaji Abdullahi is currently the acting national publicity secretary of the ADC.
It would be recalled that the former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, recently declared that he still remained a member of the PDP, even as the former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has resigned his membership of the party.
Political analysts, however, speculate that the last may not have been heard about the depletion of the PDP in the state as more defectors are being expected.
