PDP Primaries: Ex-FCDA Director, Galadima emerges sole candidate for Wukari/Ibi constituency

Alhaji Muktar Galadima, a former Director at the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), has officially emerged as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) flagbearer for the Wukari/Ibi Federal Constituency ahead of the upcoming general elections.

​Galadima’s emergence as the sole candidate followed a unanimous affirmation vote across all 20 council wards within the federal constituency.

​Announcing the result, the PDP Returning Officer, Mr. Nuhu Agbu, stated that the primary election was conducted in strict compliance with the party’s constitution and established electoral guidelines.

​To ensure a transparent process, ward chairmen and designated returning officers visited all 10 council wards in Wukari and the 10 wards in Ibi to consult with local party members and key stakeholders.

​”At every ward, loyal PDP members unanimously affirmed and endorsed Hon. Mukhtar Usman Galadima as their preferred candidate to represent the party.

“The exercise was conducted in the presence of representatives from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and other relevant authorities, ensuring full compliance with electoral laws”, he said.

​Following the grassroots consensus, the collated results and formal endorsements were officially presented to the state leadership of the party.

​In his acceptance speech, an elated Galadima expressed profound gratitude to the party faithful, describing the affirmation as one of the happiest moments of his life.

​Looking ahead to the general election, the former FCDA director urged the people of Wukari and Ibi to prioritize political participation.

He explicitly called on supporters and their families to ensure they collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), noting that robust voter turnout remains the only path to achieving their collective aspirations for the constituency.

​A cross-section of PDP leaders who witnessed the exercise praised the peaceful, transparent, and orderly nature of the primaries. Reaffirming their commitment to the candidate, the stakeholders pledged their full support to ensure Galadima secures a resounding victory at the polls.
