Sokoto State Deputy Governor, Barrister Mutari Shagari has said that no any PDP gubernatorial primary election was held in Sokoto as to have any results.

Speaking to Peoples Daily on phone yesterday, Shagari, who is aspiring to be the flag bearer of the party in the February election, maintained that, “no PDP gubernatorial primary election held in Sokoto and if anyone has declared anything as result, it must be something he alone wrote in his bedroom.”

He alleged that some people just brought a list they claimed were delegates for the election, and later just declared something they went and wrote even though no election held.

The former minister said, they have already petitioned the national headquarters of the PDP and are waiting for their response.

On what he intends to do if nothing is done about his petition, he said as a politician he would not start talking about that as according to him, what some people called primary election, was an outright illegality that would not stand the scrutiny of the national headquarters of the PDP.

Nigeria’s former ambassador to Morocco, Alhaji Abdallah Wali was earlier announced as the winner in a very contentious gubernatorial election.
