From Raji Bello, Sokoto

A political group, Sokoto PDP Youths Mobilisation has called on all contenders in the just concluded governorship primary election to unite ahead of the forthcoming general elections.

The group also charged the Deputy Governor, Barrister Mukhari Shagari and Senator Abubakar Gada who lost in the election to accept the outcome in the spirit of sportsmanship in politics.

The election panel had declared Abdullah Wali as the winner with total votes of 547, while Abubakar Gada and Mukthar Shagari scored 193 and one votes respectively.

In a statement signed by the chairman of the group, Alhaji China Danrabi, a copy of which was made available to newsmen in Sokoto, urged the duo to accept the outcome of the primary poll in good faith and rally round the winner in the interest of the party.
