Niger State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has urged Governor Mohammed Umar Bago to account for the consistent rise in the debt profile which currently stands at about N1.2 trillion in the last two years of his administration in the state.

The Niger North Zonal Chairmen, Yahaya Abdullahi Ability made this known in an interview with journalists in Minna, saying that this has become necessary following the rising debt from several loans without commensurate projects to show for it.

He called on the governor to make public his monthly security vote.

He lamented that almost two years down the line of governor Bago’s tenure, there is no single project ready for commissioning.
