Pensioners hail DG PTAD for keeping hopes alive

The National Union of Pensioners Bauchi state Chapter has commended the Director General Pension Transitional Arrangement Department (PTAD) Ms Nellie Mayshak, for keeping their hope alive and her efforts towards addressing the challenges of pensioners appropriately and promptly.

The Chairman NUP Bauchi state Alhaji Habu Gar Made the commendation while talking to journalist yesterday in Bauchi, saying that the establishment of PTAD, with the appointment of Ms Nellie Mayshak, as the Director-General of the agency is good development to pensioners.

According to him, the DG is working hard to see that all issues of financial recklessness and corruption in pension administration would reduce or stop by God’s grace.

Gar said “Considering the problem of mismanagement bedevilling the old pension scheme, the establishment of PTAD with Mayshak as DG would address some lingering issues in the administration of pension in the public service.

“With the Director-General hopes are high that the people whose pensions are under PTAD management will enjoy the fruit of their labour,” he said.

Habu Gar said she also assured that our members that lost their data and particular should go to court for affidavit with a promised the will paid all their entitlements and outstanding in two months this has gladding pensioners heart

“She promise to also look in to payment of gratuity and pension to the existing pensioners and the category of officers exempted under the Act, in accordance with the relevant and applicable computations under the existing pay-as-you-go Pension Scheme” NUP chairman said

The NUP chairman commended Governor Isa Yuguda for taken care of pensioners and payment of their outstanding allowance and prompt payment of their wages monthly

He also appealed to Bauchi state government to pay the two months arrears outstanding for the local government pensioners in the state.
