The Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) has said it has acknowledged the insightful and resolute contributions to the challenges of governance by the Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi, especially since he took the decision to join forces with the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a statement issued yesterday by the chairman of the APC Governors Forum, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, PGF said this has manifested in the way he handles affairs in Ebonyi State and his contributions to governance at National level.
In a birthday felicitation message by the PGF to mark Governor Umahi’s 58th birthday, Governor Bagudu also noted with delight that the Ebonyi helmsman has remained committed to a united and prosperous Nigeria.
The statement reads “Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) joins all Nigerians, to celebrate with His Excellency, David Nweze Umahi, Governor of Ebonyi State on his 58th birthday. We celebrate this special occasion with your family, the good people of Ebonyi State and other well-meaning Nigerians.
“We in particular, wish to acknowledge and commend your leadership, vision and commitment to a united prosperous Nigeria.
“Under the leadership of our party, APC, since you joined us, we acknowledge your contributions through your insightful and resolute inputs to the processes of responding to challenges of governance both in Ebonyi State and at the national level.”
The PGF also reiterated its commitment to rolling out programmes that would strengthen the capacity of the APC Government at all levels to create jobs, stimulate economic activities, reduce inequality and poverty in Nigeria.
