Plateau violence politically motivated, says Buhari campaign organisation

From Ado Abubakar Musa Jos

The National Coordinator of Buhari Campaign Organisation ( BCO), Danladi Pasali has alleged that the violence that erupted in Jos in the early hours of Friday was politically motivated.
He said the violence was purposely planned to disrupt the All Progressive Congress ( APC ) presidential primaries in the state. Pasali who was briefing journalists in Jos after the primaries said such incident was not the first time.
“Merchants of crisis have made attempts severally to cause a breakdown of law and order during important APC activities.
“They did it during our convention where they created a scenario and attacked APC members irrespective of their religion in June so we are appealing to the federal government to assist the state government in fishing out all the mischief makers who we know are members of the opposition.”
“There are some people that believe that the peace that has been successfully brought to Plateau by the Governor must be truncated by all means. They can try but they will not succeed because even the primaries today witnessed a large turnout despite their intentions, “ he added.
Passali, however, called on citizens in the state to remain calm and never take laws into their hands.
