Police in Niger state have arrested a gang of six men who reportedly raped an eighteen year old girl in Lapai local government of Niger state.
It was reliably gathered that the incident took place at Lapai town when the victim was on her way home from office after receiving a phone call from someone she might be familiar with.
According to sources, the caller asked her to come to the Kobo Primary School in the town, “on entering one of the schools where the caller was waiting, she became dizzy after which she was allegedly given something to drink that made her to sleep off.
“She was apparently ganged raped afterwards and left on the floor in the classroom”, the mother of the victim who confirmed the incident to newsmen said.
Meanwhile, Niger State Command Police Public Relations Officer PPRO DSP Wasiu Abiodun who further confirmed the development said that three persons have been arrested in connection with the incident while investigation is ongoing to apprehend other fleeing suspects.
