Officers and staff of Kaduna State Police Command has been trained on the modus operandi of the reformed Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS)
Speaking to the participants during the training held at the headquarter of the Command, the Commissioner of Police in charge of the FSARS Haliru Gwandu said the Squad would be saddled with two major operation, armed robbery and Kidnapping.
He added that, the unit will not be involved in stop and search, escort duty, civil and commercial matter.
CP Gwandu explained that the FSARS team for the time being will be kitted in the conventional police uniform until a new attire is fashion for them.
“We have put in place mechanism to check our team to make them transparent and accountable.
“Members of the team must have put in at least 3 year in other units such as Mobile Police and must be physically fit.
“ We are also organising capacity building for them both local and foreign to improve their skills.
“Members of the team should be vast in weapons handling and intelligent gathering.
“There is also a desk at the IGP office for any complain from the members of the public,” He said
