Police shot tanker driver over misunderstanding in Gombe

A tanker driver was said to have been shot by a policeman in Gombe during a misunderstanding.

The incident occurred yesterday along Dukku-Darazo Gombe road.

 Motorists who suffered setback didn’t have access to ply the road as it was blocked by tankers for some hours.

Briefing Journalists on the matter, the commissioner of information Mr. Julius Lapez told Journalists that government in their decision swung into action by controlling the problem.

He said the victim which was shot by the policeman did not die but he was receiving medical attention at undisclosed hospital in Gombe.

According to him, the police authority have arrested the policeman who committed the act for questioning.
