The authorities of Jos Electricity Distribution (JED) on Wednesday said that it has purchased new transformers and metres for installation and effective distribution of electricity in its zone.
JED’s Head of Public Affairs, Mr. Paul Ikwu, told newsmen in Jos that the distribution company was so worried over customers continues complaints about power outages due obsolete facilities.
“I wish to assure our esteem customers that very soon, our new transformers and metres will arrive to enable us carry out major repairs at places where there are series of breakages.
“We are out to make profit and living no stone unturned to ensure that our clients get the best service even though the drop in the power supply is a nationwide problem.
He expressed optimism that the problem will soon be rectified.
Ikwu said that over time the problems of gas shortages and vandalisation of facilities have been weighing so heavy on the generation and distribution of electricity in the country.
