Kaduna State pilgrims have been encouraged to pray for both President Bola Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani, hoping for peace and prosperity in the country, as well as the well-being of all Nigerians.
The leader of the five-member Kaduna State Hajj Delegation Committee, Alhaji Abubakar Mustapha, made this appeal during a visit to the pilgrims at their home on Ibrahim Khalil Road, Misfala district, in Makkah on Saturday.
A statement from the Chief Press Secretary of the Governor, Malam Ibraheem Musa, indicated that the delegation leader also expressed the belief that both President Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani deserve a second term.
He stated that their re-election would allow them to continue their people-focused leadership at both the national and state levels.
Dr. Mustapha, a former Head of Service, praised the Governor’s leadership in Kaduna State, noting it is guided by wisdom that exceeds his relatively young age.
The statement also noted that Alhaji Abubakar Mustapha advised the pilgrims to obey the law and abide by religious directives and Saudi Arabian laws.
He was joined by other delegation members, including the Governor’s Principal Private Secretary, Professor Bello Ayuba.
Additional delegates included the District Head of Rigasa and Dangaladiman Zazzau, Arc. Mohammed Aminu Idris, along with respected Islamic scholars, Dr. Imam Tukur Adam Almanar, and Malam Abdullahi Rabiu Ishaq.
Earlier, Sheik Haliru Maraya of the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency reminded the pilgrims about the key rituals at Muna.
He shared that Muna is roughly eight kilometers from Makkah, spanning 20 square kilometers, with 100 tents set up within the area.
Sheik Maraya highlighted the importance of Muna and revealed that Governor Uba Sani has assigned 85 officials, including Islamic clerics, to help guide Kaduna pilgrims through their Hajj.
“The Governor is not only concerned about the welfare and well-being of Kaduna pilgrims, but he is also equally concerned that they achieve Hajj Mabroor,” he added.
According to Maraya, each tent housing Kaduna pilgrims has an assigned Islamic cleric to lead prayers and all worship activities during their stay in Muna.
“This is unprecedented, and Kaduna State is the only subnational that has taken this extraordinary step to ensure that its pilgrims perform their Hajj as prescribed by Prophet Muhammad(SAW). The Governor deserves commendation for that and may Allah(SWT) reward him abundantly,” he concluded.
“The wrongful swearing in of a different set of local government officials in Ussa, Takum and Donga could be the issue that will eventually destroy the party in the State. As we speak, in Ussa Local Government area, the woman leader and her deputy are all men because they composed the list haphazardly.
“Except the governor who is the leader of the party in the State, and the Chairman do the right thing, the party will be undaunted by litigations that could crash the party,” he said.
