Presidency 2023: Osinbajo, Tinubu qualified to rule Nigeria – Otunba

The Vice –Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Southwest in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Dr Wasiu Tunwase who is also the Otunba Of Yoruba Community in FCT has said that Nigerian Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo and the leader of APC , senator Asiwaju Ahmed Tunubu are qualified to became Nigerian president.

Tunwase stated this in an interview with newsmen after Eid-el-fitr celebration in his residence in  Zuba, urging Nigerians to pray to God to choose the right president for the nation as the 2023 presidential election is around the corner.

According to Otunba, we will continue to pray or beg God to choose the right leaders for the country so that the nation will be better for all of us.

He then advised the politicians to desist from any act capable of causing rancor and acrimony during the 2023 presidential election.

While speaking on the security challenges facing the country, he called on the Federal Government to redouble the efforts to fight insurgents such Boko haram, Fulani herdsmen, terrorists and bandits for the betterment of the nation.

He noted that due to the destruction of the crops by the Fulani herdsmen across the country the prices of food stuffs had been increased drastically in Nigeria and pleaded with the government of the day to take the necessary action against the herdsmen.

Tunwase, therefore, commended the Federal Government for re-opening the Nigerian border(s), urging the government the government to allow the foreign rice to come to Nigeria in order to reduce hunger in the country.

Commenting on the Nigeria politics, Otunba said he had no political ambition for now, pointing out that he had provided the scholarships for the less privileged ones in in the society.

On his sallah message, he tasked the Muslims as well as the Christians to continue to live in peace with one another irrespective of their religious affiliations and expressed joy as the Eid-el-fitr was celebrated peacefully across the country.
