The just concluded Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] primaries into the House of Representatives in Kebbi State, has been described as very peaceful and fair across in the state.

 The primaries which were monitored by Peoples Daily in Suru/Bagudo Federal Constituency showed that the screening of the total 80 delegates commenced at 10.00 am in Bagudo town while elections took place immediately.

 Three aspirants contested for the seat and the results showed that the incumbent member representing the constituency, Hon. Bello Ka’oje was declared the winner.

Announcing the result, the coordinator of the primary election, Alhaji Danjimma VC Suru, declared that Hon. Bello Ka’oje scored 76 votes, Mainasara Bala Ka’oje scored 3 votes while Muhammed Nasir got 1 vote.

 Speaking with newsmen shortly after the exercise, the winner of the primaries, Hon Bello Ka’oje, thanked all the delegates for given him the mandate to continue to represent them if elected in the 2015 general elections as well as the party for providing a leveled playing ground for all aspirants during the primaries.

 He enjoined his co-aspirants who lost the election to take heart and continue supporting the party to emerge successful in the upcoming general elections, noting that “a big hurdle is still coming up, so we need to rededicate ourselves to ensure that PDP sweep all elective positions.
