States chairmen of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) from 31 states of the federation have expressed confidence in the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party led by its National Chairman, Falalu Bello.
The decision was taken in Kaduna at the meeting of the National Executive Council, NEC, of the party.
The Deputy Chairman of the party in Imo State, Engr Peter Okafor, who moved the motion for a vote of confidence on the leadership of the party on behalf of his colleagues, said their position was to support and encourage the NWC members to do more towards the growth of the party.
He explained that the vote of confidence on the leadership of the party was as a result of the good work done by the NWC, adding that the National Chairman, Falalu Bello and his executive members have done a good job, thereby helping the party to grow.
He added that they have moved a motion for a full vote of confidence on them and the essence is to encourage them to continue the good work they are doing.
Also, the Niger State Chairman of the party, Engr Yahya Danbaba Daudu, who seconded the motion, said that they have absolute confidence in the present NEC and NWC, adding that whatever decision reached was agreed by all.
Earlier, the National Chairman of the party, Falalu Bello, said that the meeting of the NWC of PRP made up of the National Executive Committee members and state chairmen was summoned basically to fine-tune the party’s programme of action for the next one year; that is, from August 2020 to August 2021 when the national convention of the party will take place.
