The Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Agency (PWA) has assured the Sokoto State Hisbah Board of strengthened collaboration, particularly in the area of spiritual orientation for pilgrims and the general public.
The Chairman of the Agency, Alhaji Aliyu Musa, gave this assurance on Monday while receiving the Chairman of the Sokoto State Hisbah Board, Dr. Ahmad Rufa’i Rungumi, who led the Board’s management team on a courtesy visit to the Agency.
This was contained in a statement signed by Faruku Umar, Head of Information and Communications, Pilgrims Welfare Agency, issued in Sokoto on Monday night.
Alhaji Musa emphasized that both organisations share a common responsibility to uphold the sanctity of Islam and promote moral values within society. He noted that closer collaboration between the two bodies would further enhance the spiritual preparedness of intending pilgrims and ensure a more rewarding Hajj experience.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the Hisbah Board, Dr. Ahmad Rufa’i Rungumi, expressed appreciation for the warm reception and reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to supporting the Agency. He assured of continuous cooperation to ensure the success of the upcoming Hajj exercise.
Both parties agreed to work closely in the areas of enlightenment, guidance, and the enforcement of ethical standards in line with Islamic teachings.
