The immediate past Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami has been conferred with the Award of Excellence yesterday in Abuja.
The award was given by the popular television Qausain TV under the leadership of its National President, Malam Nasir Musa Albani Agege during their visit to former Minister Pantami in his Abuja residence.
During the presentation of the award, Albanin Agege said that the former minister deserved the Award for his numerous contribution to the development of the communications and digital economy sector during his official engagements.
Adding that the accolade also is in recognition of the laudable policies developed by the ministry under the supervision of the former minister, he repositioned Nigeria’s digital economy sector on the path of sustainable development.
“The award was in recognition of the former minister’s efforts in the formulation and implementation of policies to accelerate the digitization of the nation’s economy,” he added.
While receiving the award, the former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami has thanked Qausain TV for recognising his modest achievements in the communications and digital economy sector.
He also commended the efforts of Qausain TV for it’s quality contain and given good services to humanity in Nigeria and beyond.
“I actually knew Qausain as a Nigerian popular basedsatellite TV station with numerous viewers glued to the multi-lingual programs shown in Hausa, English and Arabic for almost three years” He said.
“I also knew Albani so many years ago, he is hardworking young man with digital initiative. He was the first Nigerian I know that created a platform on
Play Store and Apple,” he added.
While congratulating Qausain National President for his commitment, he also appealed to the young to partake in that regards for the betterment of Nigeria and Nigerians.
The event was graced by former Minister’s family and friends as well as high powered delegation of the Qausain television as well.
