Ramadan: Aduda tasks Muslims on peace

As Muslim Ummahs all over the world enter the third day of the month of Ramadan fast, the Senator, representing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and chairman, Senate Committee on Power, Philip Aduda, has charge Muslims to use the periodto pray for peace in the society.

“I’m urging my Muslim brothers and sisters   to use this period to pray for peace in our land,” Aduda said, while having interaction with some Muslim faithful at the weekend.

He used the occasion to make donation of hundreds bags of millets, sugar and cash for distribution to Muslims living within FCT.

According to him, the items will assist them when breaking their fast at this holy month of Ramadan.

Represented by his Chief of Staff, Mr. Dabara John, the senator, who condemned therecent bomb attacks in FCT, advised insurgents to embrace peace and always engage in dialogue and channels this grievances to government.

 “We are not happy with the frequent blasts in FCT, and I’m using this medium to ask the insurgents, who engage in these dastardly acts to stop and express their fellings through dialogue, and embrace peace.

“This is our country, we must do everything possible to co-exist together,irrespective of our differences,”he said.

Some recipients of the Ramadan largesse drawn from     various area councilswere full of praises for the senator, whom they described as the Icon of hope for common man.

They specifically thanked Adudafor always coming to their aid during Ramadan and Sallah period, especially for those that cannot afford these items in the society.
