The Commissioner of Police Jigawa State Command, CP Usman Sule Gomna, PSC, in collaboration with Police State Head quarter’s mosque committee distributed relief materials to thirteen widows, wives of deceased Police Officers.
This was contained in a statement signed and issued to news men by the Police public relations officer SP Abdul Jinjiri in Dutse.
The statement said, the package was to reduce hardship for the widows and orphans left behind by some Police Officers.
According to the statement, One widow was selected from each of the seven area Commands, four from State Head quarters and two from 35PMF, Dutse.
The statement maintained, Each widow got one carton of macaroni, one carton of spaghetti, ten yards of guinea brocade and a pair of boutique wax.
Some of the beneficiaries thanked the Commissioner of Police and the mosque committee for the philanthropic gesture, adding that, they will use the materials judiciously.
