The African Democratic Congress (ADC), Sokoto State chapter, says it is targeting no fewer than two million new members in the ongoing registration and validation exercise.

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has launched a nationwide membership registration and revalidation exercise, both online and offline, to update its digital membership register in compliance with the Electoral Act 2026.

The exercise, which started in February 2026, aims to strengthen the party’s internal structures and expand its grassroots presence.

To register, interested individuals can visit the party’s official website and provide their National Identification Number (NIN).

Existing members are also required to revalidate their membership on the new digital portal.

The ADC has expressed commitment to building a modern, inclusive, and citizen-driven political movement, and this exercise is a key step towards achieving that goal.

Addressing newsmen in Sokoto on Saturday, the Chairman of the party’s registration, mobilization and validation exercise committee in the state, Alhaji Abdullahi Maigwandu said, “so far, so good’.

“The exercise, which is going on smoothly, has so far recorded tremendous successes and we are hopeful that we will even exceed our target of over two million new members across the 23 Local Government Areas of Sokoto State.”
