A lawmaker in the House of Representatives, Rep Andrew Uchendu, from Rivers State, has raised alarm over the safety of the state governor, Rotimi Amaechi, saying that the harassment on him by the agents of the Federal Government was becoming a source of concern.

Addressing a news conference in Abuja yesterday, entitled:”Before Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi Dies”, Rep Uchendu who representing Ikerre/Emohua Federal Constituency, the same Constituency with the governor declared that Amaechi was being harassed unjustly by the Agents of the Federal  and called for the intervention of all well-meaning Nigerians to stop the madness.

He pointed out that, as an elected Representative of his people including the governor, he decided to speak out to unusual harassment of one of his constituents by the agents of the federal government, who on each occasion claimed that they were acting on “order from above”.
