As the Nigeriàn Government continuous effort to lift up millions of it citizens out of poverty through several Empowerment programmes.

The Federal Government has assured the Public that the newly launch Renewed Hope- Government Enterprise Empowerment Programme (RE-GEEP 3.0) will ensured transparency, accountability and financial inclusiveness.

Dr Tanko Yusuf Sununu stated this at the National Roundtable on the Renewed Hope Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (RHGEEP 3.0) held yesterday in Abuja.

Represented by the Director in the Ministry, Mrs Ifeyinwa Ekweozor, the Minister charge Participants to key into the renewed Hope Agenda and come up with ways of strenthening the programme that will build inclusivity for all.

Today’s gathering is not just a meeting of like minds; it is a collective commitment to advancing the economic empowerment of millions of Nigerians, Our theme, “Building Trust, Strengthening Transparency and Scaling Impact through Financial Inclusion,” is timely, purposeful, and a true reflection of our shared responsibility to make financial empowerment accessible, accountable and transformative.The Renewed Hope GEEP is one of the flagship programmes of the National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA).

It is designed to support petty traders, farmers, artisans, and small business owners with interest-free credit that enables them to grow their businesses, provide for their families, and contribute to our national economy. Since its inception, the programme has touched millions of lives. However, with RHGEEP 3.0, we are raising the bar—introducing stronger mechanisms for transparency, leveraging technology for accountability, and broadening access to ensure that no Nigerian is left behind.Trust is the cornerstone of every successful social protection programme. Nigerians must trust that government interventions are fair, transparent, and impactful. This roundtable is therefore a platform to deepen collaboration with all stakeholders, Government MDAs, Development Partners, Civil society, and most importantly, the intended beneficiaries. Through digital registration, robust monitoring and evaluation systems, and open reporting, RHGEEP 3.0 will ensure that every naira disbursed can be traced to a beneficiary whose life is genuinely being transformed.

Financial inclusion is not merely about access to credit, it is about unlocking opportunities, building resilience, For our farmers, it means the ability to invest in better seeds and tools. For our traders and market women, it means expanding stock and stabilizing income. By bringing these groups into the formal financial system, we are not only empowering them individually.

In his welcome addressed, the National programme Manager GEEP, Mr Hamza Baba, express his management committed to expanding access to finance for the underserved through interest-free loans under our flagship schemes — MarketMoni, TraderMoni, and FarmerMoni. These interventions are not just about credit; they are about hope, dignity, and empowerment for millions of Nigerians. As part of the measures to renew trust, foster resilience and get their feedback towards building a sustainable Renewed Hope GEEP 3.0, I visited Kaduna, Kano and Lagos State, had interactions with the leadership of Traders Association of the markets and beneficiaries of Trader Monie and Market Monie who received loans from GEEP 1.0 and 2.0.

We stand at the threshold of a new chapter-GEEP 3.0, where sustainability, inclusion and empowerment will define the future of micro-enterprise support in Nigeria. As we launch into RH-GEEP 3.0, this roundtable provides a unique opportunity to reflect on our journey, to deepen trust through greater transparency, and to chart a new path for scaling impact. Our collective goal is to ensure that every intervention translates into measurable progress for households, communities, and the nation at large.

In her speech, Amandine Kouakou the Founder/ CEO Maj Fintech Group and founder of Akilaah cooperative Society, one of the key partners with GEEP pledged to work closely for the success of the Programme that will guranteed efficiency.

The National Coordinator / CEO National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA) Prof. Badamasi Lawal Represented by the offcial of the Agency Mr Nsikak Okon acknowledge, with deep appreciation, the dedication of the National Programme Manager, GEEP, and his resilient team for their tireless efforts toward delivering on the Agency’s mandate.
