Rivers Angels got their biggest win of the season as they went past their host, Royal Queens by 4-0.
Former Royal Queens midfielder, Chiamaka Okwuchuku came back to haunt her former employers as she scored a brace against the ‘Canadian Geese’.
Maryann Ezeanagu broke the deadlock in the 31st minute through a great header, followed by Falconets star Deborah Abiodun, Chiamaka scored twice in the 83rd and 93rd minute to give the away team a comfortable win over the ‘Canadian Geese’.
Naija Ratels enjoyed an eventful evening against Adamawa Queens at the Area 10 Sports Complex, Abuja. The ‘One Day At A Time’ Ladies dominated the game all through, but conceded an early goal in the fourth minute through experienced forward Ijeoma Obi.
The first half ended in favour of the visitors, but Naija Ratels put one back early in the second half through new entrant Olamide Adugbe in the 56th minute, while Motunrayo Ezekiel made it 2-1 in the 60th minute. The home team continued dominating and deservedly got the third through Olamide Adugbe, who have now scored four goals this season. Motunrayo Ezekiel made it 4, before Adesina Tumininu scored the last for Naija Ratels.
Naija Ratels have now gone unbeaten in three games, recording two victories and one draw in the process.
In Lafia, Sunday Abigail made her presence felt with a brilliant brace. Nasarawa Amazons had it easy from the blast of the whistle scoring their first in the 20th minute through Chinyere Kalu, while Sunday Abigail scored the second and fourth goal in the 38th and 83rd minute. Amarachi Okoronkwo scored the third in the 43rd minute.
Nasarawa Amazons have now recorded two victories in two games.
In Asaba, Peace Abbey scored the only goal of the match in the 6th minute, Abbey, who has been an integral part of the ‘Okowa’ Ladies this season, scored a beautiful goal to give her team an early lead. Sunshine Queens also had their chances, but failed to make it count. Delta Queens are still unbeaten after three games.
FC Robo Queens managed to scrape out a victory in a game that offered some chances. FC Robo Queens tested Bayelsa Queens Goalie, Oyinyechi Okoronkwo, a couple of times in the first half, but failed to get past her. Bayelsa Queens also failed to take the lead in the second half and have only themselves to blame.
However, the only goal of the match was scored in the 83rd minute through Oladipupo Rukayat.
Confluence Queens lost a point for the first time this season, after they played out a 2-2 draw with visiting Edo Queens at the Confluence Stadium, Lokoja.
Akudo Ogbonna opened scoring in the 19th minute from the spot, before Georgewill Ibinabo levelled up for the home team in the 68th minute.
The NWFL Premiership will go on a short Christmas break and the fourth round of games will be played on the 12th of January 2022.
