The Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, )APC) has directed the state House of Assembly to immediately commence the process of impeaching the state Governor, Siminialayi Fubara.
This was disclosed yesterday by the Rivers caretaker committee, (CTC) of the party led by Tony Okocha stated in Port Harcourt.
Recall that the governor had on Sunday lambasted the Assembly led by Martin Amaewhule, saying the lawmakers no longer exist as legislators in the eyes of the law.
Fubara also said that he accepted the peace deal by President Bola Tinubu following the political crisis that erupted in the state last year, just for peace to reign.
The Governor said the disagreements with his erstwhile political godfather, Nyesom Wike, made him attend reconciliatory meetings.
Reacting to the governor’s outbursts, the Rivers State APC caretaker committee called for actions to unseat the governor.
