Road construction’ll boost economy, Zamfara govt assures

Zamfara state government has expressed satisfaction on the speed and quality of the ongoing road construction at Kaura Namoda-Dauran to Birnin Magaji local government area being awarded to a reputable company capable of boosting the state economy when completed.
This was pronounced in a statement by the state Commissioner of Works and Housing, Alhaji Mu’azu Muhammad Nalado during his unscheduled visit to the site for assessment.
The statement said, the company has done well, therefore deserves commendation for making it possible for the present administration to break the record which has been the dream of previous governments in the state.
“Lack of motorable roads across the area made it impossible to run commercial activities especially by potential farmers and marketers capable of generating more income towards the development of the state economy”, Nalado stated.
He reiterated the need of constructing the road for it would command rapid development of the state economy as vibrant marketers from the neighbouring Katsina and Kano states, Niger republic as well, would find it easier to reach markets operating on weekly basis across the Kaura Namoda, Birnin Magaji and Zurmi local government areas.
Assuring timely completion of the project as contained in the statement, the site agent of Dantata and Sawoe, engineer Nafeey bin Shaukat said, his company has provided all the needed equipment comprising workforce to do the expected job, adding that, the road would last for decades and durable enough for commercial activities.
