Governor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar of Zamfara state has accused federal government over alleged refusal to reimburse the total sum of 33 billion naira utilised for the constructions federal roads across the state within last three years.
Yari, who was swiftly reacting to the claim made by the minister of finance, Alhaji Bashir Yuguda at a flag-off ceremony of the 2015 Presidential and Gubernatorial campaigns of the opposition PDP Saturday in Gusau, the state capital that, the federal government has instantly released all monies as reimbursement to the Zamfara state government.
The governor, who was in Shinkafi local government area for campaign, has challenged that never was a single kobo paid through the office of the minister of finance into the state government coffers with regard to claim for the total sum of 33 billion naira being reimbursement for the federal roads been constructed as earlier filed in by his administration.
He further insisted that, “If the good people of Zamfara state were enveloped by the deceitful claim of the minister of finance, then I and my entire family warmly invite the minister and his entire family too, to gather at any spacious ground to swear in the holy name of Almighty Allah to curse the liar among the two us”
