Robbers ransack FCT Pilgrims Board, cart away N3M

Unknown gunmen have invaded the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Pilgrims Welfare Board’s office, and allegedly catered away about N3 million as well as some other valuables.

The incident, according to reliable sources, happened last week, at night time, in Abuja.

It was gathered that the security guard, Mr. Sani Gogobiri, who was on duty as at when the suspected robbers ransacked the Pilgrims office, has been arrested by the team of the Police.

Peoples Daily learnt that Gogobiri, was at his house in Gwagwalada, when he was taken into custody by the Police, during their preliminary investigations in the area.

It was revealed that during the investigation, Police arrested the security guard, after they allegedly discovered some cash and handsets in his possession.

However, a staff at the board, who pleaded for anonymity, disclosed that during the said robbery incident, the police officer who was on duty alongside with the security man was nowhere to be found.

Peoples Daily gathered as at press time, that already the matter has been reported at the force police headquarters, in order to bring the perpetrators to book.
