The Coordinator, Satellite Towns Development Department (STDD) of the FCT Administration, Abdulkadir Zulkiflu, has reaffirmed commitment to ensuring strict supervision of all projects under his watch, so as to upscale the quality of jobs being delivered.
Zulkiflu, stated this position when he led the department’s technical team on inspection of on-going projects across the six Area Councils of the Territory.
According to a report packaged by the STDD’s Public Relations Officer (PRO), Meeme Felicia, the Coordinator reiterated the FCT Minister’s directive on the need for comprehensive project supervision, and promised that the instruction will be adhered to strictly.
Zulkiflu noted that the STDD’s projects are spread across the six Area Councils of the Territory to reach the grassroots and the government must get value for money being spent.
He explained that the tour was aimed at assessing the progress of the on-going projects, and expressed satisfaction with the work done by some of the contractors.
However, the STDD Coordinator warned those with performance stead to wake up as there will be no compromise.
He stressed that contractors must perform in tune with the principles and aspirations of the ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’ of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
“I wish to strongly advise the underperforming contractors to step up their game and meet the project’s demands, because it is not business as usual”, he stated.
