A South Africa based Aviation Industry, SIATA Aviation is to partner with Bauchi State Government to establish fly academy and research institute in the state.
Captain Ibrahim Sherif of SIATA stated this while briefing newsmen yesterday at Government House Bauchi.
He said they are also working in collaboration with Ambro Afrique consultants to establish the project in the state.
“The establishment of fly academy and other project is aimed at utilizing the Bauchi international airport to generate revenue,” he said.
He said “we will incorporate the research institute with Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University to train and create employment for the citizens of the state.
Captain Sherif who said its team were in Bauchi for facility study noted that the planned institute will also work with Yankari game reserve to boost the tourism potential of the state.
“We will also establish manufacturing plant and all these projects will be linked to aviation with the aim of revenue generation for the state as well as creation of employment for the citizens to boost Nigeria economy.
On how to inject funds into the project, Sherif said “funding of the project will be equity participation and return will be shared among investors and the state government.
