Governor Uba Sani has called on the people of Kaduna State to mark this year’s Eid-el-Kabir by embracing the core values of sacrifice, obedience to God, and compassion for the less privileged.
In a heartfelt Sallah message to the citizens, Governor Sani urged Muslims to emulate Prophet Ibrahim’s unshakable faith and selflessness by using the festive season to uplift others, particularly the poor and vulnerable.
“This is a season of sharing and reflection. As we commemorate Prophet Ibrahim’She noble sacrifice, let us remember our duty to spread love and give generously to those in need,” the governor said.
He reminded the faithful that Eid-el-Kabir is not just about celebration but a solemn opportunity to renew commitment to spiritual values, peaceful coexistence, and social justice.
The governor also noted that the festival coincides with the second anniversary of his administration, using the occasion to reflect on achievements made in rural and urban infrastructure, health, education, and security.
“Our modest successes are by Allah’s grace and the collective will of our people. We remain committed to transforming Kaduna into a model of inclusive development,” he said.
Governor Sani appealed to citizens to pray for continued peace and progress in Kaduna State and for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whom he described as “leading the charge” for a united, secure, and prosperous Nigeria.
“May the blessings of Eid-el-Kabir fill our lives with peace, our homes with love, and our State and Nation with unity and progress,” he concluded.
