Scandal and irregularities marred the ongoing recruitment exercise headed by the Niger state Civil Service Commission, CSC.
The exercise was in order to employ 3,000 young graduates with approval for change of cadres.
This followed the directive of governor Mohammed Umar Bago for the recruitment of young graduates of various levels, cadres and profession in to the Niger state civil service.
The exercise was purportedly hit by various scandals from different quarters in the name of favouritism, nepotism, fraud, bribery and deep corruption.
Reports revealed that the exercise lacked transparency, fairness and equity as first successful lists was tempered with at various levels.
It was reliably gathered that even the executive was allegedly involved in the scandal, despite a portal opened to the public for registration.
