A non governmental organization, Save the Children International joined the world communities to celebrate the 2025 International Day of Education in Jigawa state.

The 2025 celebration with a theme ‘Artficial Intelligence ‘ converge all Jigawa state education’s stakeholders where critical issues that would address challenges in  child education sector discussed.

Speaking during the celebration, the state team lead Save the Children International, Mr Steven Sawa called for more support from all stakeholders to promote child education in the state.

“Today is a very important day in the lives of children and Save the Children International as well as the development actors align with ministry of Education, as we today celebrate the International Day of Education 2025, we converge all education stakeholders to recognize the value of Education, government and parent’s commitments as well as why we should commit all resources to make sure each child is educated in this part of the country and attain a quality education for achieving their long life gold.

“For us to achieve this, there are couple number of organizations that put hand in collaboration with government to celebrate IDE in Jigawa. Under Save the Children International we have donors like FCDO, EU who are funding education projects in Jigawa”, he said.

Mr Sawa, who said Jigawa state is one of the state that are so dearing into the heart of donors said, and the state rated among those with high number of out of school children, Save the Children International, decided to support government to improve quality of education.

He maintained that, Save the Children International as an organization believe to given children the better opportunity to grow and also believe every child need to be protected, survive and need to learn.

“Jigawa state as a government they give us that environment for us to work and we are using the opportunity to make sure that children in this state are able to learn appropriately according to their age for both those who are in the school and out of school children”, Sawa said.

According to him, SCI delivering different approach to make sure all children are able to attain their life long gold, operating in four local government of Kafin Hausa, Gwaram, Babura and Malam-Madori.
