From Umar Dankano, Yola.
A Yola based human rights activist, Alhaji Muhammad Suleiman Baba Jada has reacted to a written text credited to former President Olusegun Obasanjo trending on social media and other conventional media outlets criticising President Muhammadu Buhari on the security challenges in the country.
Activist Baba Jada in an interview with our correspondent in Yola Monday faulted the issues raised by former Obasanjo in his piece titled “WAR WILL SOON BREAK OUT IN NIGERIA.MARK MY WORDS”, saying that a personality who benefitted immensely from Nigerian government shouldn’t be seen drumming the embers of war .
Jada protested vehemently that such views must be rejected by all and sundry for the sanctity and unity of this country stressing that people like Obasanjo with his age and experience need to be seen encouraging Nigerians on how move forward not otherwise as in this case where he threw decorum in to bin.
Recalls that Obasanjo in his piece accused president Buhari and his government of compromising in tacking insecurity challenges especially kidnappings and banditry in the country alleging that there is an Fulani agenda being moulded to conquer Nigeria as their entity.
Obasanjo wrote in his first paragraph “Another civil war in Nigeria has become imminent and inevitable. The reason for its inevitability is simply because Muhammadu Buhari, the Northern Nigeria Fulani oligarchs and wider network of Fulani in sub- Saharan African have concluded plans to adopt Nigeria as the homeland for all Fulani in Africa”
Jada who was noticed visibly disturbed lamented that the action of the former president was his personal imagination out of the frustration and misfortune that befall him since the emergence of President Buhari’s administration because it has become not business as usual .
Jada said the anti-corruption fight of president Buhari is on course with this reaction and outcry from the so called “Powerful and untouchable elites “decrying that before the president Buhari’s emergence corruption was about to be institutionalised in the country.
The Ubandoman Jada reminded Obasanjo and his co-travellers that security challenges are global phenomenon which each country has its own peculiarities adding that even the so called super power are grappling with their own share only managing them as Nigeria.
He advised Nigerians to disregard the daylight dream of Obasanjo who he accused of being self centred and trying to draw the clock back for selfish reasons because Buhari’s government has retrieved back government’s oil blocks from individuals including Obasanjo.
