Former Kano State Governor, senator Kabiru Gaya, has described the passage of Clement Nda-Isaiah as a loss not only to his family but the media industry in particular and the entire nation in general.

This was contained in a condolence message signed by his Special Assistant on Media and Strategy, Prince Idris Afegbua.

Senator Gaya said that the late elder statesman was an avid journalist, who practiced the profession with ethical proficiency and fear of God.

He said that as Nigeria approaches election year, the meticulous attitude of the late Clement Nda-Isaiah, a veteran journalist, and the father of the founder of Leadership Group of newspapers, Sam Nda-Isaiah, to the job will be missed.

He added that his advice on reporting the election to the younger generation of journalists would have gone a long way in dousing tensions in the country.

He further said that PA Nda-Isaiah and co were the first generation group of journalists that made New Nigerian Newspapers a flagship of Nigerian tabloid in the sixties and seventies.

Gaya commiserates with the chief mourners, Sam Nda-Isaiah, the wife of the departed and the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), even as he urged the family of the late veteran journalist to take solace in the fact that their late father lived a fulfilled life.

He enjoined them to keep the lasting virtue of the father alive in emulating his good qualities of life, even as he prayed that God in his infinite mercies grant the departed eternal rest.
