The Nigerian senate has donated their December salaries worth N109 million to the families of the victims of the military drone bomb incident at Tudun Biri in Kaduna State.

Kaduna State governor, Uba Sani on his verified handle @ubasanius tweeted this on Sunday.

The senate’s Principal Officers led by the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Jibrin Barau, who were in Kaduna to condole with the government and people of Kaduna State over the unfortunate Tudun Biri military drone attack made the donation and called for proper investigation into the cause of the unfortunate incident.

“I had the honor and privilege of receiving Principal Officers of the Nigerian Senate led by the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Jibrin Barau, who were in Kaduna to condole with the government and people of Kaduna State over the unfortunate Tudun Biri military drone attack.

“While thanking the Distinguished Senators for standing with Kaduna State in our moment of grief, I urged them to take a critical look at our laws and update them in order to strengthen our security agencies. I also canvassed for the creation of State Police” the governor said.

Also recalling his days at the upper chamber, Governor Uba Sani said: “In the 9th Senate, I sponsored a bill for creation of State Police, which was passed by the Senate, but did not receive the concurrence of the House of Representatives. State Police would be more effective in intelligence gathering. With State Police, the Tudun Biri intelligence failure would have been averted”.
