Senate passes N895.8bn supplementary budget second reading

The Senate yesterday passed second reading the N895,842,465,917.00 Supplementary Budget sent to it by President Muhammadu Buhari which is meant to buy more arms for the military to insecurity and to take care of the Covid-19 and other health related issues.
To this end, the Senate referred the Supplementary Budget to the Committee on Appropriation.
Speaking after the request was passed second reading, the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, told Senator Barau Jibrin, who is the chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriation, to submit its report on Tuesday next week.
The report of the panel would be submitted, considered, and passed the same day.
