Secretary to the Government of the Federation,SGF, Sen. George Akume has stressed that the health of the Nigerian child is paramount to nation building.
Sen. Akume stated this at the flag off of free diarrhoea treatment program for 10,000 children in Benue State held in Wannune, Tarka local government area.
The program is part activities marking the 70th Birthday of Sen. Akume.
Represented by the Rector, Wannune Federal Polytechnic, Tarka his home country,.Dr. Emmanuel Tyover, the SGF noted that the present administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu is concerned about he wellbeing of Nigerians.
He emphasized that good health of the child guaramtees the future of the nation and urged the people to avail themselves of the free treatment for the improvement of their children’s health.
In his remark, Dr. Emmanuel Agba,CEO Tyonex Pharmaceuticals company Limited explained that they are partnering with the SGF because of his passion for the health of his people, Benue and Nigeria.
He extolled Sen. Akume as a man who has impacted positively on the lives of Nigerians beyond the political arena, adding that he is a father, humanitarian who is concerned about the less privileged.
