SGF urges speedy delivery to promote effective civil service

The Secretary to Government of the Federation, Mr. Boss Mustapha has said there is need for speedy delivery to actualize the effectiveness among civil service.
Mustapha who was represented by the Permanent Secretary to the office of the Secretary to Government of the Federation Bakari Wadinga stated this yesterday in Gombe when he met with Secretaries, Head of Cabinet Affairs Offices of the states in North East geo-political zone.
The meeting which was designed to strengthen synergy between cabinet affairs offices at the federal and state levels is aimed at improving delivery service he said According to him, due to speedy delivery cabinet offices across the world remain resolute in actualizing the policy and objectives of government both at the federal and states level.
He said countries like United kingdom, Australia, Canada and some African countries cabinet affairs offices is known to be center of institutional mechanism that support government decisions and it’s responsibilities, adding that it support the development of policies in government.
The SGF reiterated that policymaking are the most critical functions of government at all levels that requires competence, capability specially the cabinet offices which are to coordinate tracking processes.
Speaking earlier, Permanent Secretary Cabinet affairs office Babatunde Lawal said the meeting which was attending in Gombe with the presence of Permanent Secretaries to the state government and Permanent Secretaries of cabinet affairs offices in the north east geo-political zone is the fifth series of regional meetings for Secretaries and Permanent Secretaries (CAO ) being organized by OSGF.
According to him, the meeting was aimed at discussing modalities to ensure operational proposal of CoP for cabinet affairs of the federation.
In his speech, Gombe state governor Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya said his administration will not hesitate to partner with the affairs of Permanent Secretaries, Cabinet office to ensure that ministries and other departments have sense of belonging.
He assured government commitment to key into their problems to enable them strife and have an effective delivery.
Speaking further, Governor Yahaya pledged support to enhance workforce in all ministries and departments to ensure that civil service is sustain.
