The wife of Sokoto state governor, Mrs Maryam Mairo Tambuwal has described Nigerian children as the pride of the country.
Mrs. Mairo also commended the children for their belief in the future of the country despite the challenges confronting the nation at the moment.
She gave the commendation during a dinner organized for the children in the state at Government House, Sokoto.
The event featured Iftar, Tafseer, Ashamu Prayer, drama and entertainment.
The children’s day event also coincided with her birthday, which she celebrated with the children at the Government House.
She commended the state governor, Alhaji Aminu Waziri Tambuwal for putting in place a conducive environment for the kids in the state According to her: “this is the first time we are doing children party here in Sokoto since the Boko Haram incidence “I felt so happy seeing the children jumping and dancing everywhere,” She explained.
