Sokoto Police Command deploys adequate security for hitch-free Easter celebrations

The Sokoto State Commissioner of Police, CP Hayatu Hassan Shaffa, has deployed the Command’s operational assets to ensure hitch-free Easter celebration.
A statement from its spokesperson, DSP Ahmad Rufa’i said on Saturday in Sokoto that all necessary security measures have been put in place to ensure public order, safety, and security during the Easter celebration.
It said, “The deployment is done strategically to places of worship, event centres, highways, recreational spots, and other public places.
“Tactical teams and patrol teams have been positioned across the State to prevent and detect crime, respond immediately to distress calls, and address any security concerns.
“The CP has directed all Divisional Police Officers, Tactical Commanders, and their supervisory Area Commanders to intensify visibility policing, sustain intelligence-led operations, and maintain a high level of alertness throughout the festive period.*
The statement added that Shaffa further charged officers to remain professional, courteous, respectful, and public-friendly while discharging their official responsibilities.
