The disagreement between the Minister of Financed Ngozi Okonjo Iweala and a former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Professor Charles Soludo took a new dimension yesterday as a former World Bank Vice president, African region and one time minister of Education, Dr Oby Ezekwesili described the Finance minister as an ill mannered person
Ezekwesili who spoke via her tweeter page advised the Minister of Finance to channel her energies towards confronting the issues that have ruined the country’s economy rather than declare war on critics.
The former minister of Education condemned in strong terms the tone of Mrs. Okonjo-Iweala’s response to Mr. Soludo’s article exposing the failures of the Nigerian economy.
She said more than ever the article provided the justification for calls for urgent national debate on the economy.
