A Bill seeking to establish the South East Erosion Control Commission(SEEC) has passed its first reading in the National Assembly, aimed at addressing the severe erosion affecting the region.
Sponsored by Hon. Emeka Martins Chinedu, the bill aims to develop and implement strategies to combat erosion, protect the environment, and safeguard livelihoods in the affected communities.
