The South East Professional Forum (SEPF) has honored Dr. Eberechukwu Uneze, a distinguished economist and boardroom expert, on his 50th birthday.
SEPF praised Uneze’s significant contributions to economics, governance, and public service, marking him as a leading figure among distinguished Nigerians.
I. K. Ogbonna stated, “The South East Professionals Forum proudly celebrates Dr. Eberechukwu Uneze on his 50th birthday. His journey from Imo State University to prestigious institutions like Yale, Columbia, and Oxford epitomizes academic and professional excellence.”
Dr. Uneze, from Amakohia Ubi, Owerri West, Imo State, holds a Bachelor’s in Economics from Imo State University, a Master’s in Economic Management and Policy from the University of Strathclyde, and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Kent. He has furthered his education with executive programs at Yale, Columbia, Oxford, and other top global institutions.
His career includes roles in academia, banking, consultancy, and public service. He started as a Banking Trainee at United Bank for Africa Plc and served as Director of Research at the Centre for the Study of the Economies of Africa, Senior Lecturer at Baze University, Board Member at AMCON, and Non-Executive Director at IBEDC.
Dr. Uneze has provided consultancy services to organizations such as ODI, DFID, the Office of the Special Adviser to the President on Performance, Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission, National Universities Commission, and Nigerian Economic Summit Group.
