The Arewa Youth Assembly has urged Senator Ahmad Mo’Allahyidi to stop wasting resources by sponsoring attacks on the Youth Assembly, stating that enough is enough; government property is not personal property.
Recently, a publication attributed to Alhaji Sa’idu Bobboi referred to the Arewa Youth Assembly as a group of miscreants hired by the Honourable Minister of FCT, Barrister Nyesom Wike.
The speaker of the assembly, Mohammed Salihu Danlami, stated, “We urge these individuals to stop being faceless and reveal their true identity and motive.
“It began with Ali Abacha, and now it’s Saidu Bobboi – we are unsure whose name will be next on their list.
“If you have a message to convey or a cause to defend, do so with clarity and consistency, and avoid displaying moral cowardice, intellectual laziness, and a lack of belief in yourself.”
Danlami said Saidu Bobboi is a political liability and one of the hungry individuals on the payroll of retired Senator Ahmad Mo’Allahyidi.
“He is hired for errands aimed at causing division in the country for selfish reasons.
According to the statement, “If Alhaji Saidu Bobboi is indeed who he claims to be, it is a shame for a man of his caliber to stoop so low as an errand boy to Senator Ahmad Mo’Allahyidi.
The statement partly read: “We are deeply troubled and heartbroken by the fact that you continue to bring politics and regionalism into a national issue, exposing your level of racism against your fellow countrymen.
“In contrast, the Arewa Youth Assembly fights for the nation’s interest and cannot be tied to supporting an unjust cause due to ethnicity, religion, region, or all.
“We have always made our stance clear on matters of national interest and will continue to do so. We have no ties with Wike; in fact, we do not know him, have never met him, but became interested in the issue because it seems there is a gang-up against him for being the Minister of FCT and not coming from the North, leading to labeling him with various anti-North criticisms.
“This is unfortunate, archaic, and barbaric. Abuja belongs to Nigeria; being the FCT Minister is not exclusive to the North but is defined by merit, performance, and exceptional leadership qualities.
“It is a shame for them to be unaware of the Arewa Youth Assembly, an association with several years of existence, numerous activities, and a history of fighting for the youths of the region and the country within the bounds of the law.
“This displays their attitude and negligence toward the youths of their own region.”
While speaking on the Arewa youths, the statement explained that Arewa New Agenda was formed for selfish reasons, deceiving people into believing they worked for Tinubu while, in reality, they worked for a Northern candidate – the results from the North speak for themselves.
